Tinnitus Evaluation and Consultation
Tinnitus evaluations and treatment consultations to gain are performed to gain more information about your tinnitus and determine the best management option unique to you. Tinnitus assessments will include, comprehensive case history to discuss onset, triggers and range of how severity. The evaluation includes a comprehensive hearing test, extended high frequency testing, along with tests to learn more about the pitch, loudness, and ability of your tinnitus to be masked. After the testing we will have a consultation to discuss the best management options for both your tinnitus and lifestyle including education, counseling, Oto Tinnitus Relief Program, and Lenire Tinnitus Treatment.

Communication Needs Assessment (65+ years old)
Communication Needs Assessment (65 years +) The gold standard for through functional diagnostic hearing examinations. is more than a basic hearing test. This involves further exploring processing and understanding in background noise. If patient is a hearing aid candidate they will be able to demo devices and explore hearing with and without hearing devices validated in the sound booth setting. Examines ear to brain hearing. We are looking at the connection from ear to brain by measuring how you hear and how you process that information. If treatment is needed, the audiologist will include testing and comparisons with and without hearing aids, clearly demonstrating aided benefit. A communication needs assessment is highly encouraged if you are considering needing or purchasing hearing aids or simply seeking further information as to why certain environments are a struggle to hear clearly in.

Ear wax removal
Ear wax removal included video otoscopy and removal of ear wax either using the earigator or manual removal. Ear wax removal includes video otoscopy to inspect ear canals and buildup. The audiologist will determine best method for removal including manual or irrigation using the earigator system. Irrigation- About the Earigator The Earigatorâ„¢ combines the functions of an otoscope and irrigation into one, providing the most advanced means of cerumen control. The water temperature is regulated to body temperature to prevent dizziness triggered when water is too hot or cold. The water pressure is controlled and has been tested to ensure it will never damage the ear drum. The procedure is painless and feels like a warm water massage on the ear. Patients report they prefer the Earigator method over manual removal or suction.
