Communication Needs Assessment 18-64 years
Communication Needs Assessment is the gold standard for through functional diagnostic hearing examinations. A CNA is not just measuring basic hearing thresholds but also taking into account processing and understanding speech in background noise. examines ear to brain hearing. We are looking at the connection from ear to brain by measuring how you hear and how you process that information.
If treatment is needed, the audiologist will include testing and comparisons with and without hearing aids clearly demonstrating aided benefit.
A communication needs assessment is highly encouraged if you are considering needing or purchasing hearing aids or simply seeking further information as to why certain situations are a struggle to hear in.

Diagnostic Hearing Test and Consult
A diagnostic hearing exam is a starting point for evaluating hearing levels and speech understanding in quiet. This includes: otoscopy (a visual inspection of your ear canal and ear drum, checking for wax), tympanometry (a pressure test evaluating your ear drum movement), air conduction, bone conduction, speech recognition threshold, speech discrimination in quiet, and uncomfortable loudness levels). After testing is completed, a consult is given to discuss results, recommendations, and treatment plan options.

Ear Wax removal
Ear wax removal includes video otoscopy to inspect ear canals and buildup. The audiologist will determine best method for removal including manual or irrigation using the earigator system. Irrigation- About the Earigator
The Earigator™ combines the functions of an otoscope and irrigation into one, providing the most advanced means of cerumen control. The water temperature is regulated to body temperature to prevent dizziness triggered when water is too hot or cold. The water pressure is controlled and has been tested to ensure it will never damage the ear drum. The procedure is painless and feels like a warm water massage on the ear. Patients report they prefer the Earigator method over manual removal or suction

Tinnitus Evaluation
We offer tinnitus evaluations and treatment consultations to gain more information about your tinnitus and determine the best management option unique to you.
Tinnitus assessments will include a comprehensive hearing test, including extended high frequency testing, along with other tests to learn more about the pitch, loudness, and ability of your tinnitus to be masked. After the testing we will have a consultation to discuss the best management options for both your tinnitus and lifestyle.

Hearing Aid Repair
Hearing Aid Repair includes problem with wire, dome or hearing aid. This appointment will be to check if the device can be fixed in the office or will need to be sent off to the manufacturer for repair

Custom Ear Molds
Custom Earmolds are for a patient to order custom ear protection, musician, swim molds or for a hearing aid. Depending on the type of mold needed a silicon impression or a digital ear scan will be completed.
