This is your "Communication Assessment". It is far beyond a simple hearing test. It includes questionnaires, speech testing in quiet and in noise, a hearing aid assessment, assessment with Demo hearing aids, and a treatment plan. This is the first step on your journey to better hearing and we are happy to join you on your journey. This is a two part appointment: a hearing exam and a hearing aid consultation, or what we call "Communication Needs Assessment." It is for patients who do not have a hearing test or valid hearing test (tested within the last year) and want to explore hearing aid solutions. "I have a hearing loss and want to pursue hearing aids." "I have a set of hearing aids but need new ones." "I want to know what type of technology is out on the market and discuss my options." Do you need earmold impressions for custom earmolds? We are trained to take ear mold impressions for musicians, music enthusiasts who would like to protect their ears, as well as hearing protection for hunters, and swim molds for swimmers and surfers. "I need earmold impressions for when I go swimming and have to prevent water from going into my ears."

Do you simply need your ears cleaned? It's usually a pretty quick and easy process. We use water irrigation using the Earigator or instruments (if necessary) to remove ear wax in minutes! This appointment is for those who only need ear wax removed from their ears. "My ears are completely blocked with wax." "I have a chronic wax issue that needs to be removed." This appointment is to diagnose and repair a device that has suddenly dropped in performance. This may result in needing to order supplies or sending the device into the manufacturer for repair. This appointment for hearing aids that need to be cleaned and reprogrammed. We may need to run Real Ear Measurements to ensure the hearing aids are meeting hearing goals.
